In the world of nothing but nightmares Not known to you and all Behind the invisible bars Of poverty, of ignorance Freedom that's gone long ago The way happiness often forgets to go And despair never leaves You will find me there. Empty inside - like the mountain without fire Yet standing strong With my wings incised I, who was addicted to long flights Buried deep down the earth I oozed out For I was a seed I grew up to become a tree - dark and strong That which stood tropical storms And passed by millennial falls In the world of restrictions Into the confinement I discovered my own freedom Despite the worldly failures I triumphed over humanity © Suraj Raj Keshari (A Lucent Photon)
